Brewers Festival Overview:

Oregon Brewers FestivalJuly 24th through the 27th you need to be at Tom McCall Waterfront Park in beautiful Portland, Oregon. Thurs through Sat, taps open Noon to 9pm Sun, taps open Noon to 7pm Several entrances are available, make use of the shortest lines. Main entrance at S.W. Oak Street and Bill Naito Parkway. Token & mug sales cease half hour prior to closing.  OBF is somewhat unique in that it is a non-judging event, designed to instead allow the public to sample and savor brews from some of the nation's finest breweries and draw their own conclusions. Beer is the focus of the event, and both classic and innovative beer styles are represented. There are hoppy pale ales, malty Belgian ales, creamy Scottish Ales, nutty brown ales, potent bocks, rich porters, refreshing pilsners, and charismatic ambers, just to name a few.  Get ready to taste some of the best beer on the planet.  Also take some time to enjoy the rest of the area!

  • Entry to the festival is free, but if you wish the enjoy the year plan on paying from a mug($4) and tokens($1 each). Each full beer will be 4-8 tokens, or 1 token for a taste. We suggest you find a pourer that is generous with the taste as there are way to many beers to try them all.
  • Celebrating its 21st year in 2008, the Oregon Brewers Festival is regarded as one of the finest craft beer festivals in the world. 73 breweries offer handcrafted brews to more than 60,000 beer lovers during the four-day event.
  • Food will be avaialble from local resturants or vendors, but several resturants close by could also satisfy those hunger pains. We suggest grabbing a bite at Kells a large irish bar located just across the street.
  • Parking is always a challenge so we highly suggest taking advantage of the light rail system. The light rail stop is within a block of the main entrance to the festival.
